Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera, usually via a digital sensor or film, to create an image. According to the Cambridge Dictionary photography the activity or job of taking photographs or filming.
Photographers are artists with the camera & behind the lens, using a blend of technical skills and an artistic eye to ignite the artistic soul within each one of us. Photographers click pictures of amazing and beautiful nature, places, landscapes, sunsets, you name it and you’ll find one from a photographer. Keeping this in the backdrop we thought of starting our website to explore the possibility of learning and capture some beautiful photographs.
The Artistic Soul Photos is all about exploring this creative artist in each one of us.
Our inspirations are Steve McCurry, Jimmy Nelson, and Gregory Crewdson.
Steve McCurry is an American photographer, freelancer, and photojournalist. His photo Afghan Girl, of a girl with piercing green eyes, has appeared on the cover of National Geographic several times. McCurry has photographed many assignments for National Geographic and a member of Magnum Photos.
McCurry is the recipient of numerous awards, including Magazine Photographer of the Year – awarded by the National Press Photographers Association, the Royal Photographic Society’s Centenary Medal, and two first-place prizes in the World Press Photo contest (1985 and 1992).
The idea behind naming our website The Artistic Soul Photos is basically from “Artistic Soul” – meaning a creative and art-loving soul (the soul is a part of an individual human being, also is the essence of a human being). Simply put soul is the part of a person which isn’t physical but experiences deep-feelings and emotions. Since we are into photography, we extended the name to give it a complete handle – The Artistic Soul Photos.
The Artistic Soul Photos is an attempt by a group of amateur photographers to showcase photography skills & to enjoy the art of photography & preserve memories and moments by clicking some visually enthralling shots.
To all of us here at The Artistic Soul Photos, photography is an art of observation and discovering yourself through the means of a lens. It’s about finding something interesting and unique in an ordinary place. We practice in Nature Photography, Sunsets, Flower Photography (Macro photography), Abstract, Black and White Photography (B&W), and our favorite Travel Photography.
We also try to edit the photos captured via various software to enhance the overall quality of the image and to use the image as wallpapers or screensavers. We primarily use the smartphone camera to capture the photographs. All these images have been done as a part of mobile photography.
Our Photo Gallery possibly includes all types of images from digital artwork to natural lighting photography done outdoors.
